Baby Letters

Nursery is starting to come together but now the decision gets to come on the letters for her name. So many options and oh my are they so much more expensive than I imagined. A few we are looking at please share any other websites, tips or I would love to see pictures too of maybe nurseries that have been done.http://www.pinktaffydesigns.com/index.php

Those are all great! But if I had to choose, I think I like the first one the best. :-D

For all the kids in our family we bought white ones from Hobby Lobby for like $3 each and then painted and decorated them.

If you are going to buy some though, I really like the first ones.

If you're at all crafty, they are easy to make. Michaels sells plain wooden ones. We bought some of those, a bunch of coordinating scrapbook papers, and some decopauge stuff (I can't remember what it's called because it's been a couple years, but it's this clear sealant stuff you can put over paper crafts to give it a hard shiny finish). You just put the paper onto the letters and then put the clear sealant over it.

Here's what it looks like after we made them:

I was going to tell you to do exactly what Allison said. It's the easiest and cheapest way to go! If you don't like it, you wouldn't have spent that much $$ on it. Good luck!

We did what allison did... mod podge.

We bought plain wooden ones - I sanded them - painted them white - and mod podged pink scrapbook papers onto them and then hung them with white ribbon.

I was going to say what everyone else said about making them yourself...it should be really easy.

I picked a nursery "theme" at BRU and bought everything they had in it, including wallpaper border for the walls. I then ordered really expensive letters to match from someone online. When they got here, I realized that they had went and bought the exact same wallpaper border from BRU and cut out the shapes (animals, trees, etc)and just applied them to the white letters at Hobby Lobby and sealed them. I could have done the exact same thing in an hour and for 1/4 of the price I paid!! They look great and are easy, I just wish I'd thought of doing it myself!

Well, I am crafty so I painted my own. Bought the letters at Hobby Lobby (I already had the paint). See mine here: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lnH_fnDA8k4/SOAMmy_E-4I/AAAAAAAAAd0/kwFriDs9WmA/s1600-h/IMG_6657.JPG (the blurry pic doesn't do them justice but keep in mind I was way huge prego when I took the pic!) Hope this helps. Or I hope you've found somewhere cheap to get yours. I think Chad mentioned etsy.com.
