12th OB Appointment

First off-9 more days until her due date!! Not that it means a whole lot but it does mean time is getting closer at least :)

Well today marked our 12th OB appointment, could it really be that Ive been to the OB that many times in such a short amount of time? Guess it all adds up quickly.

Well today wasnt much news. Heartbeat is at 155 bpm. Chad is usually so good at guessing the heartbeat but her heart rate has gone up a lot its usually in the 130-140 range but a little more active today:)

Doctor checked me and Im 30% effaced and no dialation yet. We go back next Thursday to see if there is anymore progress and if not we will probably start discussing induction since Ill be 39 wks by then. My doctor had thought with the really bad contractions on Monday (they were mighty intense!) that maybe some dialation had occurred but none yet.

Chad keeps saying that she will come out on Tuesday (May 25th) well see if he is right or not. Ive told her that she couldn't come out Monday (our anniversary-May 24th) because she needs to have her own day but knowing her she will come out then just because I said not to.

Last day of full days is tomorrow and then we have two half days next week (last day for kids is Monday, then teacher work day is Tuesday) and I will officially be done with school on Tuesday cant wait! So if I can make it to then, I wont have to take a day of vacation and I can save them all for next year which will be nice because Im sure there will be days she will be sick that I want to stay home with her :)

Tonight was Morgans 2nd graduation in 1 week, so special to see the kids I taught graduate and the girl that I had for my speech class got salutatorian and she did a wonderful job I think, its amazing to hear her give her speech and know the kind of speeches she gave at the beginning of the year when she started out, maybe she learned a thing or two in class :)

Well its off to bed so I can start my last full day tomorrow, school year is winding down then its time to meet Miss Morgan!

First big Scare of PG.....

Well this wasnt how the week was supposed to start but before you read on everything is ok. Last night I took a hard fall & fell face first on our ceramic tile after tripping over the gate (just lost my balance I guess).

Luckily I caught myself from falling on the baby but my arm & knees are killing! I thought everything would be ok last night & she would start moving but she never did. Neither Chad nor I got any sleep at all last night but of course I kept on saying everything is ok I dont need to go to the ER.

This morning I still had not felt her move (she is sooo active in the morning) but thought if I eat something with a little sugar she will start moving and everything will be ok so I went on to school. Well Chad called the nurse as soon as they opened & she said get in asap so I got someone to cover and they got a sub in quickly thank goodness. Im thankful to work with wonderful people that were willing to help out in anyway.

I dont think words could express the moment we went into the sonogram room how scared we both were, what was going to be the outcome. I think she could have said anything beforehand and I seriously wasnt really listening I was soo worried about our little Morgan. We got a sonogram & she obviously just got scared & was not moving enough for me to feel her. My placenta is very thick so she has to kick or move extra hard in order for me to feel her. We are thankful that everything is clear and she is ok!

They got me back very quickly and monitored me for a while and everything looked fine she just wasnt making any big moves. That sonogram was worth every penny and more just to have reassurance our little angel was ok. She's measuring a week ahead (27 wks) & already 2.5 lbs!

I saw the doctor and she checked my cervix (can I just say ouch!) to make sure I was not dialating or such and I was not thank goodness. She sent me home and told me I was to stay in the bed and stay off my feet today and drink lots of fluids. If I was still feeling ok then I could go back to work tomorrow. Of course the doctor and the nurse told me if I ever fall again to call ASAP do not hesitate. Hopefully I wont have any more scares like that.

I know for now my knees are going to be bruised up and somehow when I feel I whacked my arm out of socket too but honestly thats the least of my worries, our little Morgan is ok and thats all that really matters!

Baby Bump

Today was the first day ever that someone I did not know asked me "when are you due" I was at the local tax accessor's office renewing my tag after getting off school and the lady asked me and it blew me away. Of course I answered and she then says that her daughter is due in June and she was a teacher at a school in the same district (there is close to 30 schools in our district). Of course I had to look down at my little baby belly a few times and think wow has it grown enough that people can actually tell now...hmm I guess so. I must say its exciting a real baby bump:)

Today was the start back to school, I have one class that I hope doesnt put me into labor and 2 other classes tomorrow that will be new so hopefully they will be better:)

Oh and it snowed today-Im getting spoiled by all this snow! Already twice in December and once in January and it never snows. Supposedly its going to really snow on Thursday everyone is hoping for a snow day and we just went back..haha!

I still need to find a new layout maybe one day soon:)

Its beginning to feel a lot like Christmas....

Our tree is decorated, the garland is hung and its starting to look and feel a lot more like Christmas! 22 days and counting to Christmas and 18 more days till the big appointment to find out boy or girl I cant wait!

So in randomness since there is lots to say...
  • The other night was my first dream that I had that I can remember and it was cute weird. I dreamed that I was drowning in a river (muddy) and I had gotten to where I felt like I was about to die. Well I woke up screaming really loud HELP! Of course it scared Chad because he thought something was really wrong. Then when I finally did get up it was really raining how ironic or what..lol!
  • Then last night I had another dream which was even weirder. I dreamed that my little brother (22) and his gf (20) were pg and she was due 2 wks ahead of me. Well she found out she was having a girl and we found out we were having a boy and I was just shocked I couldnt believe it because I thought the doctor was wrong and she told us the wrong information, then I woke up and that was the end..haha!
  • I think my stomach has reached normalcy. I dont want to jinx myself but yesterday was the first time in a LONG time that I had NOTHING that affected my stomach which is a huge deal
  • Sunday I go to my 5th baby shower in one month. I feel like I live at Babies R Us with getting all the gifts we have gotten for friends and co-workers.
  • The other night when we did go to Babies R Us which seems to be our new hang out store..haha they had coupons for 15% off any item so for anyone who needs some baby stuff they probably have them at the local one by you as well.
  • The other day I got told by my pg student (she is 16) not to take my vitamins. Me being curious I said why in the world would you do that, that is idiotic. She said oh if you only take your vitamins half the time then you wont get as big. I just couldnt believe someone would say and actually do something so stupid. Why dont you care about the child that is inside of you instead of what you look like? It just really burned me up and this is someone who is keeping her child which I respect her opinion but I just couldnt imagine a kid at 16.
  • This past week I dont know what it was but Ive been told by several students about their home life (parents into very illegal drugs) and it just breaks my heart into a million pieces. If parents arent going to grow up and raise their kids then how will the kids ever make it?!
  • If you havent already put your guess in for Baby Wallace only 18 more days to do so to guess boy or girl!
I think thats all my randomness for today Ill try to post a picture of all our decorations sometime soon (before Christmas..haha!)

9 Days!!

School is out for the holidays..yeah! Its a much, much needed break since its been Labor Day since we have had a day off (yes us teachers are a bit spoiled I must admit but we do earn it:) I look forward to a week off and do nothing but relaxing...ahh!

I changed up my blog and somehow lost the blog roll but I think I got everyone I had. If for any reason I didnt or you werent added before please leave me a comment and I would love to add you to the list.

On a funny note-tonight we went to Babies R Us to get a little gift for our neighbors and low and behold who do we see?! Our OB-GYN doctor. What are the odds?! She was so friendly and said oh yall are starting the shopping now arent you. We both no we started a long time ago..haha!

For anyone wondering about the due date-due date was changed last appointment I was just too lazy to change it on the site so now its all official:)

Telling my students...

Just for a catch up for anyone who has just tuned in-I teach Hi.gh Sc.hool students and I waited until this week to tell them.

How it all happened...
So my student (remember the one that constantly asked me all the time?!) Well the other day (Tuesday) she kept on saying I just know you are pg, just know it. I said "I have a secret to share with you" I dont think Ive had kids pay so close to attention to every detail of what I said. I said yes you are right I am pg. The room got really quiet and I heard "no way, you are joking" I said nope Im not. Then the questions started rolling in
1) How far are you? I tell them 3 months and I thought I was going to literally have to pick their mouths off the floor. "You mean you have known and havent told us?" Yep
2) Have you been throwing up? Nope (They seem to think at first it happened first then after I said that they said oh I guess that happens at the end-I cleared that up quickly)
3) Do you feel differently
4) Once they figured out the due date-oh so are you going to be here in May or will we have a sub. No Clue we will see
5) How did you keep a straight face not to tell us?
6) Everyone has been talking about you and how several people thought you were pg but we couldnt ask and then be wrong
7) Can we babysit for you (I couldnt count the times Ive been asked this!)
8) Can we have a baby shower for you (please, pretty please..haha)
9) What are you having (when I said not sure oh when will you find out)
10) Will you name your child after me and (friend in the class) since we are such good kids.

These are the main questions, seems like there has been more but now my brain seems to draw a blank.

In other news-I have had 3 baby showers in 2 week! Good gosh I dont think Ive ever had so many

Our neighbor had her child today so excited for them, they had a little boy!

Last, one of the girls I work with ended up being put on bedrest today and I found out today from her sister who also works at the school that if she doesnt have the baby by Tuesday then she will have her then. Im so excited for her and her husband!

Funny Conversation...

So I have one student who has been constantly "are you pregnant, are you pregnant?" and I just really laugh it off and have fun joking around with her. well the story today was rather funny just thought I would share...

Background-they have to give a mot.ivational sp.eech in class (I bet you couldnt guess which one, right?!)
Student-I decided what I want to do my speech topic on-how you are going to get pg
Me-That is not an approriate topic now (laughing that she really thought it was)
Student-but I think you really need to know
Me-Im sure you can find another topic that is more appropriate
student-well you know I have really bad baby fever and I cant have a baby and you can so that means you need to get pg so I wont have it anymore (really laughing at this point-she is a senior in HS of course)
Me-so thats going to cure your fever how is that?
Student-well why dont you tell me your husbands name and I can email him and tell him that I want you to have a baby
Another student remembers his name
Me-well now you have his name
Student-Oh and I remember he works for the same district(she remembered the dept as well which was rather shocking) so I can just email him.

The conversation kind of ended there. I seriously have never laughed so hard, she is just one of those students that always has something funny to say. Kids can sure say the darndest things..haha

I did tell Chad if he gets some randomn email from a girl thats who it is. I doubt she will but I would find it even more hilarious if she did.
