Stubborn Child...
What a stubborn child we have on our hands already! We had our 7th OB appointment today and Morgan is just as stubborn as she can be, same place! The tech tried to get her to move, me on my side and nada she just didnt want her picture taken just like her daddy:) We got one picture but honestly you cant tell much of anything. That was our last attempt at the 4-d ultrasound so we just lose our money that we paid, no refund.
She weighed 3 lbs 9 oz. today so she has only gained 1 oz in a whole week. She must be slowing down or something. Her heartbeat was at 136 bpm. She is measuring 1 day ahead of schedule instead of a week.
Before the appointment we went over to the baby gift shop and scored some great deals. We got her letters for her nursery and they were 50% off! They are ceramic letters and they look so cute! We also scored her a little MSU gown that was also 50% off and some little booties. I took pictures of it all and then realized I left the cord at school to my camera so maybe sometime this weekend Ill post a picture.
We had ordered some wood letters for her room that were a lot more expensive and not nearly as cute so we were able to cancel our order and get the cute letters and something a little more unique for our little stubborn girl.
Saturday is our 2nd baby shower, its a church shower and then we will have our 3rd shower on April 10 (family) and then the last shower on April 21 (work). I cant believe how fast these dates have gottten here and how close May 29 is getting here as well.

What a difference....
a week truly makes!
So this week I think Miss Morgan has grown sooo much! I feel like she is sooo much heavier than she was even just a week ago and I know she is only going to get a lot bigger. I can feel her so much more she kicks so much harder. Oh and my feet have officially disappeared and I cant seem to find them..haha
So a few points
-I had my first real contraction yesterday and it HURT I didnt think it would be that painful. It lasted for about 3-4 minutes and I propped my feet up and just sat and it ended up going away. Of course the pain was nothing compared to a kidney stone but more painful than I thought.
-Monday we got a call from the adoption place (we went through classes last summer for anyone who has been around a while) but we kind of wrote it off and honestly never heard anything back (it was from the st.ate). Well we got a call asking us if we were ready to take a infant and they needed placement ASAP. Of course we had to turn it down with the baby on the way but I honestly didnt think we would really hear from them.
-The lady from the hospital we are delivering from called and we have to fill out a few more things of paperwork for our pre-registration and we are done (just get to wait for Morgan to pick her time)
-I feel like our schedule is fixing to get nice and crazy
-March 6: parenting class with church
-March 11: doctors appt.
-March 15-19: Spring Break (complete nursery)
-March 16: 4-d ultrasound appointment
-March 22: first birthing class
-March 27: church shower
-March 29: 2nd birthing class
we will have another doctors appt probably around March 25 since we will start going every 2 weeks now
Thats all I can think of right now but seems like I am missing something
-It seems like life is getting busier and busier and I cant wait for May to get here!
-I am so addicted to etsy.com oh my I could spend way too much time on that site.

5th OB Appointment & randomness
Well today marked our 5th doctors appointment for Morgan. I must admit it wasnt quite exciting because it was our first time going that we didnt get an ultrasound but we survived somehow or another.
*She had a great heartbeat at 134 bpm a little less than she has had normally but still in the normal range.
*It did not take anytime whatsoever to find her heartbeat at all, the nurse put the doppler on my stomach and found it instantly, first time. She must be growing well:)
*The doctor measured my stomach just from the outside and she said I was measuring 26 weeks so a little ahead.
*Found out I have a white cell bacteria and I had to pee not once but twice that was fun and interesting. The first time for normal to check things and the 2nd time because they have to send it off and see whats causing it. Nothing too alarming but the doctor did want to make sure we treat it so I dont go into preterm labor or anything. I wont get the results back until next week sometime.
*up 17 lbs according to the doctors scale
Next appointment (one Im kind of dreading...) March 11
*glucose test (got the orange flavor) should be interesting to get it all worked out so I can eat regularly with my class, then go to the doctor and do all my bloodwork on the timeframe I have to but I think just maybe it might work as long as I dont puke that stuff up.
*I have to get a RH shot because Chad and I have different blood types and due to that I have to have the shot just in case the baby has Chads blood type. If I didnt get it and the baby had his blood type then they could attack each other and that would not be good.
*will be in my 3rd trimester-oh my where has the time gone!
Then on to the next time I see the doctor (not really an appointment)
*4d ultrasound and its bright and early at 7:20 a.m. March 16 (Tuesday of Spring Break) and Ill be 29 weeks. I cant wait to see her cute little face!
In other randomness....
*tomorrow marks less than 100 days-wow has time flown by!
*Our first baby shower is Saturday I cant wait
*Got to go see our friends little boy last night he is just too cute I cant wait to have one to hold, he is now 6 wks old.
*I feel like I have inherited a whole new wardrobe because I have had so many generous mommies that have let me borrow their maternity clothes
*nursery should be totally finished the week of Spring Break (we both get the week off!) Painters are coming that Monday and then from that point we just have to get the crib assembled, letters done, clothes put away, and any other little odds or ends and well be done but it will be done before we go back Im determined! Spring Break is March 15-19
*really starting to feel the tiredness bug start to creep back up-went to bed at 8 pm last night and thinking that sounds pretty good tonight too:)

Its all becoming so real....
Yesterday one of our good friends had a little boy, Tanner and we went to visit them tonight and he is just precious. She delivered at the same hospital we will deliver at and we went to see the suite room and honestly it all started to sink in. They have one floor that is nothing but mom floors and as we sat in the room talking to both of the new parents I couldnt help but to think..wow in about 4-4.5 mths this is going to be us. Its hard to realize that this precious baby that likes to keep me up at nights and kick hard on my belly will be here before we blink it seems like as fast as time has flown by already.
Then we went to go see the baby in the nursery and wow it just hit me hard. Our baby will be in that same nursery.
Then I started thinking and I get to go through labor too which is the part that absolutely terrifies me to no end but I do know its all worth it regardless of how much pain I have to endure but it still scares me. Taking care of a baby, sleepless nights nothing really scares me except labor. Maybe I will have an easy labor like my cousin pushed for about 15 minutes, baby came out but reality does sink in too but Ill take whatever God hands to me to get our precious angel here:)
I also found out while we were there we passed a table that had the info for all the classes and realized I need to get busy on that. They said you need to register for the classes between 16-24 weeks I didnt realize it was so early.
Then one of our good friends has scheduled our first shower for February 20, then we have another one for March 27 and then about 4 more somewhere in between/after with co-workers and family. I feel truly blessed for such amazing friends, & family.
Dont know if anyone else has ever heard of the store but when we were in Washington, DC there was a baby store that was right across the street from our hotel and it was before I was pg or even started the adoption process really. I couldn't remember the name of the store to save my life but finally ran across it today. Its called Buy Buy baby they had some adorable stuff.
We get to go see our little angel a week from today I cant wait such a true miracle from God!
