Well today we went in for what I thought would be our last OB appointment but unless she comes soon it wont be.
Her heartbeat was measuring at 145 bpm. Doctor checked my cervix and absolutely nothing she had a hard time even finding my cervix so yep NO dialation and same as last week on effacement.
I started the discussion about inducing and my doctor is very against it. She was telling us that if we were to induce now I would be setting myself up for a csection having no dialation and very little effacement and well inducing when you have nothing going on is very tough on your body.
Im convinced Morgan just doesnt want to come and meet us, she is just too comfy in my belly. We have an appointment on Wednesday and will also get a sonogram then as well. She will check everything and also see how big she is measuring at which Im guessing she is getting pretty close to 9 lbs now. Im guessing that next Wednesday or Thursday Ill be getting induced and more than likely getting a csection with the nada of progress my body is making.
In other news we are having some family come down this weekend, they were thinking we would have a baby but not such a thing so maybe that will help pass the time quickly.

12th OB Appointment
First off-9 more days until her due date!! Not that it means a whole lot but it does mean time is getting closer at least :)
Well today marked our 12th OB appointment, could it really be that Ive been to the OB that many times in such a short amount of time? Guess it all adds up quickly.
Well today wasnt much news. Heartbeat is at 155 bpm. Chad is usually so good at guessing the heartbeat but her heart rate has gone up a lot its usually in the 130-140 range but a little more active today:)
Doctor checked me and Im 30% effaced and no dialation yet. We go back next Thursday to see if there is anymore progress and if not we will probably start discussing induction since Ill be 39 wks by then. My doctor had thought with the really bad contractions on Monday (they were mighty intense!) that maybe some dialation had occurred but none yet.
Chad keeps saying that she will come out on Tuesday (May 25th) well see if he is right or not. Ive told her that she couldn't come out Monday (our anniversary-May 24th) because she needs to have her own day but knowing her she will come out then just because I said not to.
Last day of full days is tomorrow and then we have two half days next week (last day for kids is Monday, then teacher work day is Tuesday) and I will officially be done with school on Tuesday cant wait! So if I can make it to then, I wont have to take a day of vacation and I can save them all for next year which will be nice because Im sure there will be days she will be sick that I want to stay home with her :)
Tonight was Morgans 2nd graduation in 1 week, so special to see the kids I taught graduate and the girl that I had for my speech class got salutatorian and she did a wonderful job I think, its amazing to hear her give her speech and know the kind of speeches she gave at the beginning of the year when she started out, maybe she learned a thing or two in class :)
Well its off to bed so I can start my last full day tomorrow, school year is winding down then its time to meet Miss Morgan!

Disappointment=11th OB Appt.
Well today we went in for my 11th OB appointment (37 weeks) and had nothing but disappointment in the fact of meeting Morgan anytime soon. What the heck is she waiting on?!
Cervix is still a little softened (not effaced yet), no dialation and still at a stage -3 for the station (if you dont know what station is here is a good illustration. Disappointment was a major understatement I thought maybe I would be a tad dialated or even effaced but no nothing.
After the appointment I must admit they had a few tears that came, just lovely hormones I guess got the best of me, why isnt she making any progress at all I just dont understand?? Yes I know she is nice and cozy but at least something, anything would be nice to let me know that we are going in the right direction.
Heartbeat was 139 bpm and for some good news the Group B strep test came back negative which means I wont have to have the antiobodies during delivery!
Maybe next week I will have some type of progress but I also wouldnt doubt if I had nothing new too. I guess Im starting to realize that maybe she will have to be forced out of there before she shows up.

10th OB Appointment
We had our 36 week appointment today (really more like 37 weeks almost)
23 more days until her due date!
- She is 6 lbs. 15 oz. (76th percentile for weight)
- Cervix is softened but no dialation yet
- According to the measurements on all her body parts she is officially 37 weeks (measuring for a due date of May 27)
- I was told to keep my feet up a lot more (they are very swollen)
- Asked why my right foot is more swollen than my left foot and she said that my cervix is on the right as well as the blood flow
- They checked for the Group B strep and will get the results next week
- Her little head is right on my right hip so she definitely has dropped big time. She is in the right position and all-yeah!
23 more days until her due date!

9th OB Appointment
Yesterday we went for our 9th OB Appointment (34 weeks) and it was one of those very basic runthroughs but we waited forever it seemed like (1 hr 30 min to be exact). Guess we were spoiled by last time when we were in and out in 30 minutes, thats my kind of doctors appointment!
Morgan is measuring right on target and I found out I have yet another UTI which she said is obviously pretty common in pregnancy especially this late because your body is opening and getting ready for the arrival of your baby. I had to take a special urine test and they will get the results back sometime next week to see if she wants to change my medicine (been on medicine to treat it very early on).
Next appointment will be the last time we get to see her before we meet her little face in person on the sonogram. She wants to check her position and how much she weighs and Ill be almost 37 weeks (full term) at that point. I also get to do the Group B strep test (not really sure what that is but sounds important)
Up next Breastfeeding class notes...

8th OB Appointment
Well I must admit that appointments are getting very routine, not much really happening or going on. Today was just the same but a different order. Usually they take the urine sample, weigh you, wait in the 2nd waiting room for a while, get called back to the doctor, wait some more then see the doctor then head out.
Well today was totally reversed and I wish all doctors visits were like that. We went back in record time, then saw the doctor, did the urine sample (waited for about a minute in the 2nd waiting room) then headed home. Super quick appointment that I love!
So Morgan is measuring right on target for 32 weeks. Found out that I will be receiving no more ultrasounds unless something happens. Then also found out that my doctor will wait until 41 weeks and if she is not here by then, then she will induce. So she will definitely be here at the latest by June 5 but I sure hope that she arrives sooner than that! Im so ready to meet her.
Also we got a pediatrician as well! We had one pediatrician that it seemed like everyone was recommending but she wasnt taking new patients. Well we called back today to get with another one our OB recommended and it turns out that this doctor just decided to take on a few new patients yesterday-yeah! We will have to meet with her two weeks after Morgan is born but Im so excited we have someone lined up now. One thing checked off the to-do list.
In other news-we went to our 3rd birthing class and I finally learned something new. It was about c-section and epidural and yikes just the pictures of c-section scare me to no end but I know if thats what it takes to get her here then I will survive. The epidural needle that they actually showed was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be either. The best part of the night was when they broke up the mom and dads and the moms won by a tie-breaker. What did the guys have to do? Give the moms to be a massage, that was heavenly :)

Stubborn Child...
What a stubborn child we have on our hands already! We had our 7th OB appointment today and Morgan is just as stubborn as she can be, same place! The tech tried to get her to move, me on my side and nada she just didnt want her picture taken just like her daddy:) We got one picture but honestly you cant tell much of anything. That was our last attempt at the 4-d ultrasound so we just lose our money that we paid, no refund.
She weighed 3 lbs 9 oz. today so she has only gained 1 oz in a whole week. She must be slowing down or something. Her heartbeat was at 136 bpm. She is measuring 1 day ahead of schedule instead of a week.
Before the appointment we went over to the baby gift shop and scored some great deals. We got her letters for her nursery and they were 50% off! They are ceramic letters and they look so cute! We also scored her a little MSU gown that was also 50% off and some little booties. I took pictures of it all and then realized I left the cord at school to my camera so maybe sometime this weekend Ill post a picture.
We had ordered some wood letters for her room that were a lot more expensive and not nearly as cute so we were able to cancel our order and get the cute letters and something a little more unique for our little stubborn girl.
Saturday is our 2nd baby shower, its a church shower and then we will have our 3rd shower on April 10 (family) and then the last shower on April 21 (work). I cant believe how fast these dates have gottten here and how close May 29 is getting here as well.

FAIL....Yep thats the results of my glucose test I just cant believe it!!
I have tried to not eat any sugar, no carbs and I still failed the freaking glucose test by 5 pts! I had to have 140 and I had 145. I honestly dont know what I could have done differently quite frankly except just not eat.
So I get to go Wednesday at 7 am (the week of Spring Break) to go and get the 3 hr test so a lovely 3 hrs of my Spring Break donated to sitting in a doctors office...oh I just cant wait (hint of major sarcasm). I cant eat or drink anything after midnight or until Im finished its going to be really tough I drink so much water and always eat breakfast.
For the drink-it tasted like some serious sugar water. I just really dont understand it all. You drink this super sugary drink and are supposed to pass?? I really dont understand and I guess never will I guess.
Then as well as testing your sugar level they also test your iron level and my iron level was too low so I get to take medicine for that too. Mine was 10.4 and its supposed to be 11-14.
Then after getting all the news I get a lovely rhogam shot that stung like something else, it didnt hurt as much going in but whatever is in it, oh my it just start burning.
Morgan is doing fine though, hb was 142 and Im measuring right at 28 weeks. We get to start going to the doctor every 2 weeks from here on out, cant believe its already time for it.

First big Scare of PG.....
Well this wasnt how the week was supposed to start but before you read on everything is ok. Last night I took a hard fall & fell face first on our ceramic tile after tripping over the gate (just lost my balance I guess).
Luckily I caught myself from falling on the baby but my arm & knees are killing! I thought everything would be ok last night & she would start moving but she never did. Neither Chad nor I got any sleep at all last night but of course I kept on saying everything is ok I dont need to go to the ER.
This morning I still had not felt her move (she is sooo active in the morning) but thought if I eat something with a little sugar she will start moving and everything will be ok so I went on to school. Well Chad called the nurse as soon as they opened & she said get in asap so I got someone to cover and they got a sub in quickly thank goodness. Im thankful to work with wonderful people that were willing to help out in anyway.
I dont think words could express the moment we went into the sonogram room how scared we both were, what was going to be the outcome. I think she could have said anything beforehand and I seriously wasnt really listening I was soo worried about our little Morgan. We got a sonogram & she obviously just got scared & was not moving enough for me to feel her. My placenta is very thick so she has to kick or move extra hard in order for me to feel her. We are thankful that everything is clear and she is ok!
They got me back very quickly and monitored me for a while and everything looked fine she just wasnt making any big moves. That sonogram was worth every penny and more just to have reassurance our little angel was ok. She's measuring a week ahead (27 wks) & already 2.5 lbs!
I saw the doctor and she checked my cervix (can I just say ouch!) to make sure I was not dialating or such and I was not thank goodness. She sent me home and told me I was to stay in the bed and stay off my feet today and drink lots of fluids. If I was still feeling ok then I could go back to work tomorrow. Of course the doctor and the nurse told me if I ever fall again to call ASAP do not hesitate. Hopefully I wont have any more scares like that.
I know for now my knees are going to be bruised up and somehow when I feel I whacked my arm out of socket too but honestly thats the least of my worries, our little Morgan is ok and thats all that really matters!

5th OB Appointment & randomness
Well today marked our 5th doctors appointment for Morgan. I must admit it wasnt quite exciting because it was our first time going that we didnt get an ultrasound but we survived somehow or another.
*She had a great heartbeat at 134 bpm a little less than she has had normally but still in the normal range.
*It did not take anytime whatsoever to find her heartbeat at all, the nurse put the doppler on my stomach and found it instantly, first time. She must be growing well:)
*The doctor measured my stomach just from the outside and she said I was measuring 26 weeks so a little ahead.
*Found out I have a white cell bacteria and I had to pee not once but twice that was fun and interesting. The first time for normal to check things and the 2nd time because they have to send it off and see whats causing it. Nothing too alarming but the doctor did want to make sure we treat it so I dont go into preterm labor or anything. I wont get the results back until next week sometime.
*up 17 lbs according to the doctors scale
Next appointment (one Im kind of dreading...) March 11
*glucose test (got the orange flavor) should be interesting to get it all worked out so I can eat regularly with my class, then go to the doctor and do all my bloodwork on the timeframe I have to but I think just maybe it might work as long as I dont puke that stuff up.
*I have to get a RH shot because Chad and I have different blood types and due to that I have to have the shot just in case the baby has Chads blood type. If I didnt get it and the baby had his blood type then they could attack each other and that would not be good.
*will be in my 3rd trimester-oh my where has the time gone!
Then on to the next time I see the doctor (not really an appointment)
*4d ultrasound and its bright and early at 7:20 a.m. March 16 (Tuesday of Spring Break) and Ill be 29 weeks. I cant wait to see her cute little face!
In other randomness....
*tomorrow marks less than 100 days-wow has time flown by!
*Our first baby shower is Saturday I cant wait
*Got to go see our friends little boy last night he is just too cute I cant wait to have one to hold, he is now 6 wks old.
*I feel like I have inherited a whole new wardrobe because I have had so many generous mommies that have let me borrow their maternity clothes
*nursery should be totally finished the week of Spring Break (we both get the week off!) Painters are coming that Monday and then from that point we just have to get the crib assembled, letters done, clothes put away, and any other little odds or ends and well be done but it will be done before we go back Im determined! Spring Break is March 15-19
*really starting to feel the tiredness bug start to creep back up-went to bed at 8 pm last night and thinking that sounds pretty good tonight too:)

Still ALL GIRL!
Today was our 4th OB appointment and baby is doing well. She is a little stubborn baby I dont know where in the world she could ever get that from..lol?! We got a sonogram today and each time the sono tech tried to see a part of her she would cover it up with her little hands it was so funny. Then all the sudden she yawned oh it was so cute. I told Chad its some of the simple things that you take for granted.
Heartbeat is 152 bpm and is still all girl no doubt at all. I asked the doctor about her not moving for a full 24 hrs or I actually couldnt feel her and she said thats perfectly normal now and told me the trick to wake her up is anything cold. I never knew this, its not the sugar. She told us that ice or anything really cold for some reason helps to get them going and moving so I learned something new. I also found out that I have a anterior placenta which just means that the baby has an extra layer for me to actually get to feel her so she said that could also be the case as well.
I also found out I have another lovely UTI and am being put on medicine until the baby is born to make sure it doesnt make a repeat visit. She was worried that if it came back again it could possibly lead to preterm labor and we sure dont want that.
I go back Feb. 18 (25 wks) and then will go back when Im 28 weeks for the glucose test (oh boy I cant wait I havent heard good things about this) and then after that I start seeing her every 2 weeks and then at 36 wks we start going weekly. She also said that at 28 weeks they will start doing kick counts and I will have to feel the baby kick 5X each hour. Time is sure flying by I cant believe it.
Last but not least she weighs 14 oz. now which she said was perfectly normal so glad to hear that. She was breech at this point which means she is booty down. In order to have a vaginal birth the baby has to be head down. If the baby is still breech closer to birth then I will be getting a c-section so hopefully she will make a turn:)

Baby Growing strong!

Baby is growing strong! Today was absolutely beyond miraclous and has truly shown me what a miracle this baby is. The baby's hb is 160 and she measured again (just for fun) and it was 164. Im measuring 3 days ahead at 11w5d. We were told we have a wild child since the baby was trying to run from the part that catches the hb, it was rather funny I must admit-a wild child at 11weeks, I cant imagine what it will be like when it starts moving and I get to see it. I seriously could have watched it all day it was just AMAZING. I couldnt believe how much the baby was already moving. I dont think I was really expecting it to be moving and so quickly already...WOW!
Our next appt is Dec. 21 (we will be out for the holidays then) and we get to find out whether we will be buying pink or blue I absolutely cant wait. Its just so miraculous to see this little baby that has been formed in my belly by God. I just cant believe it.
Afterwards we went by Babies R Us I think for maybe like our 3rd trip this week..haha! We looked at strollers and just everything. I think we have finally come up with which one we want I cant wait to actually buy it, but it will probably be after the first of the year.
For the $5 camcorder....
We have an Ame.rican Ex.press card that we have had for quite some time that we have to pay off each month (cant carry a balance). Well we have wracked up points to get the camera (& still have lots more left) and decided what better way to use them but to buy a video camera. Well we had to actually buy it through De.ll (in order to use the points) and well long story short they screwed up and we didn't have to use any points at all due to their screw up. So it really was $5 because we got extra stuff. So now we have the points and the camcorder to use on something else. It really is a great thing with the card because you get free stuff for things you would pay for anyway so it does add up quickly. I mean how could you resist free stuff? I must say though you do have to be disciplined in order to do it because you cant carry a balance.
Last but not least Saturday is the big game in Starkville, MS (MSU vs. Alabama). They always have a close game no matter how bad we have been so hopefully it will be the same. Ill hope for a win but not thinking its very likely.
